25 fps (or 50 pfs) is very usefull outside the US. The frequency of the power grid in most parts of the world is 50Hz and at 30 fps you can see the light "pumping" when using neon, low-energy bulbs or any other kind of gas discharge light source.

SL1 is the "real" wireless mode. Uses the pre-flashes to communicate.
In SL2 mode the flash fires when it detects another flash firing. The manual p. 51 says "do not use red-eye reduction ...". It even could fire whith the blinking of starting TL tubes. Works nicely.

In my 540 I use Ansmann's 2100 mAh. They are the same type as Eneloops, which are not easy to find here. I get 100 flash shots with them, easy.

The reader is USB 2.0 capable but only on an USB 2.0 port. Does your computer have USB 2 ports ?

I think this is my first post around here, and allready it is a complaint. :-)
I have a problem with the pale, white look of this forum. In general I find fex. dpreview easyer on the eye for reading and that pics look beter with a less contrasting background.
Maybe it is possible to provide a skin with a darker background ? 18% grey ?
