Essentially, this is a brand new camera! Shutter count is at a low, low 984. Super clean, and very well cared for. Rear screen is covered with Expert Shield screen protector. Purchased new in December 2017. An absolutely stunning camera, and the best Pentax camera I have ever used. Unfortunately, I have begun to shoot for a company that demands the use of Canon equipment. I simply cannot maintain two parallel systems.
The Pentax K1 comes with all original packaging, Pentax D-LI90 battery Lithium-Ion Battery, Pentax charger, cables and brand new camera strap. Also included are 2 Wasabi Power D-LI90 batteries and portable charger. The K1 is still within the original Pentax warranty.

A beautiful little lens! The all metal build has a substantial feel and inspires confidence. Works wonderfully for macro photography. However, I found that it really shines for portrait work. Up for sale is a nice copy of the Pentax K-1 36.4MP Full Frame DSLR and the Pentax HD Pentax-D FA 24-70mm f/2.8ED SDM WR Lens. $2350 shipped!
If you are reading this, then you already know what these things are! I purchased the body new in March 2017. The lens was purchased that same month from another forum member.
I used this body and lens combo during the 2017 wedding season, some corporate event work and landscapes. I loved it so much, that I eventually bought another K-1 as well. My Pentax collection is looking better by the month, but I simply need to do a bit of slimming down.
I am exceedingly careful with my gear, and the K-1 is in fantastic condition. The body has 19K on the shutter, and some minor paint wear (courtesy of a blackrapid dual shoulder strap). Rear screen is covered with expert shield screen protector. It has worked very well for me, and I am confident it will work well for you. The DFA 24-70 2.8 is also in fantastic condition without a mark on it. I have several filters for the lens that are not pictured, but will be included. These items have never been dropped, submerged, dented or otherwise mishandled. I am smoke and pet free. I have all of the original packaging and papers, as well as all of their original, unused accessories. With so much other Pentax gear in my kit, I never had need to even unwrap the strap, lens pouch, battery charger or untouched D-LI90 battery.

I can confirm the AF focus assist light failure on the 585EX as well.
It was one of the main things I was excited about with this flash, and it absolutely refuses to function whatsoever.
So far, the YN585EX is naturally a much better fit onto a Pentax body than the made for Canon YN560IVs I have. PTTL seems to work, just as long as you like your photos bright as hell. Not overblown mind you, but just bringing you right to the edge. Shame about the focus assist. I find that my K1 is slow to focus even in the best of conditions.

I have a K1. I back that up with a K3II. The K3II is backed up with a K3. I back the K 3 up with a Ricoh GRII.
Anyways, I'm definitely voting for a K3 of some sort. New or used, the price cannot be beat.
I shot about 20 weddings this year. As much as I like the K1, there were times when I was glad I had the K3s on hand.
The fact that the KP doesn't have a dual card slot is all I need to know about to know it isn't for me. Just can't take that risk when I'm actually getting paid for pictures.
The K3 feels like a smaller K1. The KP just comes off like a goofy KS2 type deal. No thanks.

After having a K100D and a K200D, I picked up a K-30. It was fantastic, and I was able to get many great images from in 2-3 years.
However, when I finally bought a K-3II, the difference was quickly noticeable. The metal build of the K3 is an immediate improvement. It just feels like a proper camera, and makes the K-30 feel much more like a toy. The larger battery and dual card slots are also big improvements. Improved ISO, AF, FPS and top panel LCD make it a done deal.
I quickly sold my K-30 to fund the purchase of a second K-3. If you can convince the wife, I'd go for it.
Without having used a K-P, I see no reason to even consider it when you can get a K3 or K3II.

My K-1 and I have been waiting for this thing since February. Courtesy of Pentax, I've learned to become a more patient man. That said, is there any idea on when this might actually go on sale? Is hoping for 2018 being too optimistic?

I think it would be cool to see Pentax in a store like BB. Of course, I never actually spend money at BB and haven't for 10-12 years. But it might help with brand recognition. Oh well.

Yes! I heard how terrible this commercial was, so I had to see it. While still a total train wreck, I don't really care because of the glorious cameo by the Pentax 645Z.

He's been shooting with it for a year. His images speak for themselves. I think he's plenty qualified to review the camera.
Plus, a quick search of YouTube shows few (too few for me anyway...) results for the K-1 or Pentax in general. I was happy to find his review.
