I too have an Optio W80 and am looking for an AC power supply for it. This is the only thread that discussed the power supply. The information provided looks questionable. Obviously I do not want to order the item if it is incompatible with my camera.
So, again, do they take the same batteries? (Which implies that the same AC adapter would work on each.)
And, if you don't mind my asking, or even if you do, why didn't you answer the question in your other post? That would have saved both of us time.

The Amazon page says that adapter is for the Optio M50 & W60. No mention is made of the W80. Does the W80 use the same battery as the W60? Also the position of the cord on the adapter would appear to interfere with installing it in the W80.
