I also just picked up the GPS2, works great other than I had to calibrate outside to get the compass to accurately work which isn’t an issue. I also have the GPS1 and curiously it calibrates inside the house just fine.

I just got a notice from B&H that they dropped the price of the K-AC167 AC adapter kit for the KP by $15 to $69.95. I’ve been considering getting one so that convinced me to order one.

Obviously a great price, should remove any doubts for somebody on the fence. I paid full price for mine way back when and I hesitated at the price, but after I got it I was so happy with function and the use I got out of it that price was soon forgotten.

My 16-85 is the most used lens on my KP and I really like the combination. I take lots of automotive photos and will go to a two or three day car show and shoot all day with the KP 16-85, around 1500 photos, total. On those days I also use the battery grip but the combination works just as well without it.

KP user. OVF almost all of the time, LV only in situations where I can’t see through the OVF.

I have the grip on my KP and haven’t had any issues after 2500-3000 shots. I’ve used it with body battery selected first and with grip battery first, whichever was selected first it switched to the other when needed without a problem. Hope you find the problem soon and can get it fixed easily!

My first DSLR was the K30, next one was the KP which I like a lot more and I wasn’t unhappy with the K30. I got the KP on the Black Friday sale at B&H last year. I will want the new one but price is important and I’m sure it’s going to be a fair amount more than the KP so I’m hoping I can wait for the first discount round. Sell a camera? The K30 can’t be worth much and it hasn’t had the failure yet, it’s worth more as a backup and I’ll let my grandkids use it.

I use my 16-85 for car shows, just got the 55-300 PLM that will be used mostly for wildlife, and then the 18-135 for general stuff and want the lighter/compact package. Also have the DA 35 2.4 and DA 50 1.8, and some A and M lenses that are fun to play with.

I wouldn’t worry about battery weight, I sure can’t tell the difference between the small or large one in the grip.

When not using the battery grip, I use the large most of the time and use the medium when shooting with primes. I use the battery grip about 75% of the time.

Yes. The large grip comes with the battery grip and the KP along with the small and medium grips. US sold KPs come with all three grips while I think the Australian market KP only came with one grip. I don’t know about other markets, and I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong about Australia.

I own the D-BG7 and use it about 75% of the time. I typically use the D-LI90 but have extra 109s if I need them. I really like using the grip, the handling is excellent for me and I need the extra battery capacity. I balked at the price for awhile but after I got it that was quickly forgotten.

I got my KP in Nov. ‘18 and ordered an Expert Shield screen protector from Amazon, it didn’t fit so I cut it down as a temporary fix. I then contacted Expert Shield customer service. In discussing the problem it was determined the wrong size was packaged for the KP. They sent me two new ones so I would have a backup if ever needed. The new one fit perfectly. The installation instructions are excellent as is their customer service. Highly recommended.
