I know its highly unlikely but doesn't hurt to ask. Does the DA35/2.4 cover FF image circle? Thanks

If the new DA35/2.4 covers FF, I'd buy it in a heart beat.

LOL, this thread shows how badly Pentaxians long for a FF body.
Come on Pentax, listen to your user base!

That would be pretty retarded for Pentax. Why not just collaborate with Samsung on their APS-C evil, why m43?

Well, I guess you weren't paying much attention when you held the ZX-L.
And you should have done some research before replying to my post.
I've shot many rolls of film with my DA70 on ZX-L. So believe me, you can manually select aperture value on ZX-L |

I am sorry. Have you ever held a ZX-L in your hands before? I'd do some research before mouthing off.

The latter two don't allow manually setting the aperture. If you use a DA lens on them, you lose M and Av mode.

The 50/1.8 is fine. It's their 50/1.4USM that tends to fall apart.

Same way you can adapt pretty much any lens on the m4/3 bodies, from a leica M to a Pentax 67.
On the other hand, I really dont see any benefit of adapting pentax lenses on a sony body.

The same way K-x costs far less per pixel than a 5DII.
I wonder who's gonna foolishly waste his money on a 5DII.

The D3x has only 24.5MP. If you are only interested in shooting landscape, I'd say D3x is pretty terrible in the bang for buck department. The 645D might actually be a better deal(per MP) for those who can afford it.

Amateur Photographers chastising snapshooters?
Somehow I can't quite wrap my brain around that concept.

Good price
"The camera will initially be available only in the Japanese market at a suggested retail price of ・850,000 (~ US $9,400) from May 2010. "

I knew all along a full frame 645 sensor is out of the question. But was hoping to see a 48x36 sensor.

It would be kinda dissapointing if 645D's sensor is only 68% bigger than FF. That's less than the difference between APS-C and m4/3.

That's not a very desirable feature for me. The EVF is darker than OVF to begin with. And if you stop down to F8, that will pretty much render the EVF useless.

But you are probably limited to Program mode and shutter-priority mode only, like how DA lenses work on a ZX-5n(which has very similar congtrol layout as the 645N)

I bet the 645D will be a whole lot cheaper

You are probably thinking of someone else. GordonBGood seems to be pretty well respected and very knowledgeable about ISO/noise stuff.

Seems to me the sharpness is quite decent even wide open. Keep in mind that they are testing this lens on a 24MP camera. So pixel level sharpness might not be as good as that on a 14MP camera.
