Ha! :lol: for me it's come down to IQ above all else. Even before you factor in cost, the K-5 simply trounces the competition unless you want to pay for FF. Then to offer this at a price lower than many competitors have set their mid range gear is brilliant.
I've really only heard good things. The only criticism I see is to do with the number of lenses and size of system available. And to be honest I use 2 zooms and 3 primes at most, all of which have Pentax equivalents which have amazing reviews too!
Also there's a bit of me that wants to get away from the Canikon bandwagon and be a little different. Not to mention that my first ever SLR was a P30t which I still use from time to time so there's a bit of nostalgia there as well :D
Just waiting to get my hands on a K-5 before I take the plunge fully.
