I want Pentax to offer mirrorless along with their dslrs. That does't mean I want a Sony.

Go to the Start Menu, in the search field type in "device manager" and hit "Enter". If you don't have a search field try right clicking on the Start Menu and select "Device Manager". In Device Manager, Expand "Memory technology devices" and you should see a card reader listed. Right click on the card reader listed and select "Uninstall device". Next, reboot your computer and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver for the card reader.
Using a new card won't change what is on the old one. You won't loose the photos on your old card unless the card is the issue. A simple test to see if the card is bad is to use another card reader that you know works. Maybe try on a friends computer.

If reinstalling the driver doesn't work, I would try an other card reader.

I'm curious about Slow Shutter Speed NR and if that somehow is the cause of the problem. I would test, but don't have a tripod.

I wonder if "Slow Shutter Speed NR" is the problem. Too bad you don't have the camera anymore to test.

A company I worked for had a Mac and no one there could figure out how to use it, including me. I think there must have been something wrong with it. Windows 11 looks like mostly just a GUI refresh.

The latest GPS modules are only 4mm. I'm sure they can find a spot on top without structural compromises.

I think the engineers at Ricoh can figure out how to fit GPS into a camera without any structural compromises. I suggest under the top lcd display.
