Yes, I suppose the seller should always do a little homework before the sale. It's the smart thing to do. It is never really a buyers place to educate the seller, unless you are a dealer and care about your reputation. I have also come across some smoking deals a few times and been the recipient of free gear that was worth hundreds of dollars (if I ever sold the freebies, guess where the money would go...back to the kind souls who gave to me...but that's just me).

However, what really stinks is to find an amazing deal from someone without a clue, and then proceed to squeak an extra $15 dollars out of an already stupid low price. I guess what I'm saying is that when a person I'd blessed enough to stumble across something they really want for an insane (uneducated) price...just pay the money they are asking and enjoy your own good fortune.

I can only think that one would want their own heirs to be treated the same when dealing with your estate. Just something to think about.

Considering GR_Advice Needed

I hesitated for quite some time after I finally keyed in on how nice the GR might be. And then I waffled back and forth over pricing and deals, as even at the best of "deals" the GR is still very pricey. I finally pulled the trigger on a GV-1 combo before Christmas time (I have yet to use the viewfinder, but I like the idea of having it). Let me say, I do not regret it one bit at all. The GR is really a sweet little camera. If you enjoyed having an MX-1 (which I like as well) then I think you will love the GR. Yes, the fixed 28mm focal length can be limiting, but it can also be challenging, and many times it is perfect. The size is so nice, and I find myself taking this camera to places that I would never take my SLR...and that is what it is all about...being there with a camera. Oh yeah, it takes great pictures too.

Good work! I am so glad to see good things happening for good people. You know, your sandbox YouTube video is one of the reasons I shoot a Pentax today. I sometimes tell people who shoot with the "others" about it, and I always get a WTF!!! type look from them. You put in tons of effort here for everyone's benefit and I am grateful. Thanks for it all, and I hope you sell many more.

What a great set of photos. Very enjoyable. Good work.

Just curious, what does your DIY weather-sealing on the GR consist of?

Fstop Millar bags 50% off - last day today

I just got my Shibata bag in today. Not only a good price, but fast shipping too. My first impression is good. Not quite the robust, classic build quality of my Domke F6, but considerably less Dough. I am still trying to get my kit set up in it, but I like it so far. I can fit my K5IIs with 18-135 mounted, and room for 2 primes stacked beside it with padded Velcro devider separating them. It came with 2 Velcro devider and a removeable padded liner. So protection seems as good as my Domke. I think I will like this bag for carrying a smaller abbreviated kit, I really like the thin profile of the Shibata. All in all, seems like a can't lose item, looking forward to carrying it on my travels.

Pentax 21mm DA limited.....Question

For what it's worth...I have a DA21 and it is great. Many times it is the only lens I will bring. So small and maneuverable, with Great image quality. I get it, you want FF though...however that is somewhat of a unicorn right now. Buy it used. I bought mine right here for a great price after a little searching. You will surely find it cheaper and easier than the FA20mm 2.8. When the magical FF comes out, you will have plenty of time to resell your used DA21 for close to if not all of what you paid (I think there is always someone looking for a 21...it's that good) before the FF is available to purchase. Even if you lose $20 or $40...think about all the great times you had with your snappy little 21...and nobody can take your pictures away from you, unless they are pictures you didn't take because you were waiting for the perfect FF lens.

Just my 2 cents...let us know how it goes.
