If your comment is in response to me comparing the customizability options for both systems, I was just listing facts about both systems. I never said one was better than the other. I shoot both systems. And I agree with Mikesul that this adapter is a good thing for Pentax shooters and Pentax, and I'll add that it can only increase the monetary values of our glass.

I have 2 K-1s and a Sony A7 IV and A7r V.
K-1 has 3 dials, 1 of them fully customizable, and 2 fully customizable buttons. Newer A7 cameras have 4 dials, 2 of them fully customizable, a joystick, and 12 fully customizable buttons. Sony cameras have changed a lot in terms of customization.

I was so excited to see this and immediately crushed when I noticed the D-FA 15-30 and D-FA 24-70 are not supported. I upgraded the adapter firmware and confirmed. I inquired on MonsterAdapter's FB page but have yet to receive a reply. Do you think it's because those two lenses are rebranded Tamrons?

I use the Theta S for work (Google Street View tours for local businesses) and I just took it on a trip to Banff I just returned from.

I have it. I don't use it with my K-3, but my camera and lens I imagine is comparable in weight to a K-3 with a smaller zoom or a normal FoV prime.

Did some quick tests. Tested ad600 with x1_ trigger with Cactus v6II and K-1 with a ton of different lenses. Tested with fully manual lenses (no contact points), m42 adapted lenses, lenses with AE contact points, and fully auto, modern lenses with all contact points.
Results:
The lens has to at least have AE contact points to do HSS with that setup. Without the contact points, the camera shutter speed will go no higher than it's max.

I essentially have this set up but I use it on my K-1. Make sure the firmware is up to date on all lighting and trigger products. Then set the Cactus vII to manual flash and Pentax. Put it on your hot shoe. Stack the x1N. Set it to HSS. Set the ad600 to HSS. Make sure the Godox set is on the same channel and group, and you're off. That's what works for me.

I'm glad to hear this news. I have two of their lenses, the 15mm 1:1 macro shift lens and the 12mm "Zero-D" lens. They're definitely unique lenses.

It was never remedied. Precision Camera said they didn't have the parts. They also wouldn't scavenge parts off a second K-01 I had. I never could find anyone to do it for cheaper than the cost of buying another used K-01. :(

Damn, so sorry to hear. I had a lot of gear stolen from me a couple years back, and I was completely devastated. My only advice is to keep an eye out on ebay, offerup, facebook sales pages, and craigslist. Also put whatever detective they assigned you, hold their feet to the fire. Mine was terrible and I ended up doing most of his job for him. Moving forward with whatever gear you get as replacement, take pictures of all serial numbers. PICTURES. Don't write them down. Also mark your camera and/or lenses in a way that only you'll recognize. That way you can prove sales pics online. Also think about tagging the camera in a hidden place like in the battery compartment. These are some things that I've implemented in my experience having my gear stolen and recovering some of it that was sold online.
 is for you having to come clean to your wife. Those are totally my same exact fears.
Lastly I truly hope you're able to recover your gear. If you have recorded your serial numbers, please share them and I for one will keep an eye out.

After I decided to tether my K-1 to my laptop, I realized why the Kirk L bracket is thicker on the side. It has two separate channels for cables to be plugged in while it is mounted in portrait orientation. The other L brackets I've seen don't have this feature.

If you buy a Cactus v6, you can use your Canon flash on your K-1 with TTL. If you buy a Cactus v6 II, you can use your Canon flash on your K-1 with TTL and HSS (if that flash supports HHS).

The carbon fiber camera mount is third party. The mount is stronger than the drones ability to fly with extra weight. I flew it with point and shoot cameras mounted. I've never had the desire it go heavier or bigger, primarily because of space restrictions under the body and added weight potentially effecting flying.

Good to hear from you Alex. I was wondering if your absence was a work thing.
Now that you've left the brand, will you be leaving the forum?
There is a population of former Pentax users that still hang out here.
