Good idea! Maybe they can include a feature that throws up these words on the LCD screen: "Firmware update failed - Camera bricked" That will get the heart racing, which is bound to be good for us. Or not. :hmm:

Worse than your problem is if you have it on and don't know it. Click ---------- nothing happening---------Kalink, the shutter fires....... what the....is going on ?????? Click-------repeat........%#@&&????? And so it goes if you accidentally tap the right sequence with your nose:)

Self timer is a shooting mode. Just change shooting mode back to single shot.

K-70 uses the 4 way control, right side. Not sure on the K-1??

Turn off the single point selection.
Press the up button.
Use the right button to select burst or single shot.
Press the centre or the shutter release.
If you want, turn the select focus point grid back on.

It usually happens to me with the movie mode on the K-1. It gets turned on accidentally taking the camera out of the bag, and I can never remember how to turn it off.
