Drove out to Valley of Fire yesterday afternoon to check out the meteor shower. I arrived Kind of late so I didn't get many daytime shots. Got my campground setup and got some shots of the Milky Way
A better look
Caught a shot of the crecent moon before it sunk behind the canyon walls... a little out of focus
By the time the meteor show began I was on my 5th beer so I didn't get many great shots haha. This was the only one worth posting
I did however try some star trails
I woke up early enough the next day to watch the sun rise over Elephant Rock
Went for a short drive before the long drive home and spotted some bighorn sheep

This is my first time seeing one. I actually thought it was some sort of small bird from far away since I was at the Henderson Bird Preserve.

Mating season is here and its fun watching the rams run back and forth battling for the ewes. There was some head butting but wasnt quick enough with the camera. Here are some of the shots i captured

Took a roadtrip from Ventura, Ca to Ensenada, BC, Mexico... Only took a few pictures as I didn't know how safe it is walking around with a DSLR was in Mexico haha. I also noticed prices for things went up when I had my camera with me.

Anybody know what these golden flakes along the beach are? I've only seen this at one other beach in San Quintin also in Baja Mexico.

They don't sell out every game but the Dodgers vs Giants series gets pretty close. The sign is in the hill behind the parking lot toward Left/center field ... If you do a google image search with "think blue" it will pop up

Nice shots and nice Sweep! I'm surprised the game wasn't sold out. Then again the Dodgers haven't been doing so well... Can you see the Think Blue sign from the stadium? would be nice to get a shot with that in it...

Went on a couple hikes the past couple days... here are some of my shots
The sun lighting up the canyon walls. View from the top of Angels Landing
definitely not something you want to see at the beginning of a hike. Im just glad they didn't have to change the sign today ;)

Saw plenty of Mule Deer
Spotted Towhee
Path down the Emerald Pools trail
Whats left of the Lower Emerald Pool waterfall
Most of the first day was overcast but it finally cleared up and was able to see some stars.
