Go with whatever fits your budget.
I think with your lens selection you would be best served by a K1.
Have you got the 6x7 to K-Mount adapter?
You will need one of those for your 6x7 lenses. The 90/2.8 and 165/2.8 might actually be really nice portrait lenses.
You will also need a Pentax M42 adapter for your thread mount lenses. Make sure you get a genuine one.

It looks focused well, but there is movement, either the camera or ride itself. Try faster shutter speeds, but the focus seems ok on the sample you shared

KEH (along with MPB, UPP, and couple others) tend to under-rate their gear; I've bought 'Bargain' and 'Ugly' gear from them and wondered what wrong with it....

Ahh. So, I'm not the only one. Yep, use the O-ME53. Special bi-focal camera glasses. Still can't see crap. Live view quite often. Old age isn't for the weak...

Yes, with either the DFA 150-450 or 70-200. I can track my dogs running around the garden, or cars on a track like above, with a keeper rate of over 90%. I am surprised you are not getting way better than 10-30%.
There is an article on here somewhere explaining the best set-up, I will try and fish it out and post a link.
My old DA*60-250 or 300 were hopeless at the same task.

My last visit to Venice was in the film era, where I shot a 24mm a lot, and was thinking even then it was not wide enough. So you will find regardless of whether you use the 16-45 or a 16-85.
If I were to go back, with a cropped sensor, I would want my sigma 10-20 for sure. You might also have a lot of fun with a Samyang 8mm fisheye ---------- Post added 02-04-24 at 02:25 PM ----------
As others have said the 6 mm is a lot in terms of field of view, there are many places where taking 10 steps back is just NOT an option

That lens appears to me to have a canon fd mount and doesn’t look like it will fit a k mount camera. ---------- Post added 01-27-24 at 02:41 PM ---------- It’s fairly common for sellers to not know what they have and advertise the lenses wrong. Buying from Japanese sellers with good reputation or dealers like Roberts keh and mpb is safer. ---------- Post added 01-27-24 at 02:44 PM ---------- eBay will support you. If the lens is not a k mount and it was claimed to be then it is no problem to return. Even if the seller claimed no returns. Just use eBay process.

Yes there is. When set to apsc crop you get almost twice the burst rate, more than twice the depth of buffer (up to 100 JPEG frames before the camera stops) and AF points to cover almost the whole apsc frame. So in case you want more speed over resolution, you can always switch to apsc crop mode, even when using a FF lens. Also, if you are capturing macros, you may set the camera to apsc crop , enable pixel-shift to get more color resolution over the 1.5x added magnification, and since the electronic shutter is twice as fast you have less risk of pixel shift motion artifacts, which is better than capturing 36Mpixels and cropping later in post.

Sigma lens dock. I bought the 35mm Art f/1.4 and anticipated buy lots more Sigma lenses, but then they dropped K-mount support.
And the 35mm Art never had a firmware update anyway, so the dock was useless.

I don't have an experience with the A 70-200mm but I also have the Pentax-F 70-210mm and that lens is highly recommended. I haven't used it extensively yet but I am truly satisfied with my test shots. Sharpness, AF speed (with the K-3), contrast and saturation are all highly satisfactory.
Just like the wonderful Pentax-F 35-70mm, though, an adequate hood is needed to keep excess glare out.

That's good advice. If we're experiencing very cold or warm weather, I leave my gear in the bag for a little while to adjust up or down from its current temperature. I do it with parcels, too... Resisting the temptation to immediately rip open a package with a new (or new-to-me) lens reduces the incidence of condensation...

The article makes some good points but hardly a revelation.
When we shot film we would pick the ISO (or ASA for those of a certain age :) ), that suited the task in hand. Bright sunny day with a reasonably fast lens go for 64 slide or 100 negative. Action shots with a longer slower lens or poor ambient light and we would reach for the 400 or 800 canister, and maybe throw some push processing in too for good measure.
Today, digital sensors cannot change their base ISO or sensitivity as the article suggests, but dialling in a higher ISO increases the gain that the processor applies. This will increase noise.
Where I agree with the article is that you should always aim for a well exposed photo. So if shooting in poor light, or using a narrow aperture, or need to keep the shutter speed high, then you should be using a higher ISO to start with. Like Mike, I like to use TAv mode, usually when shooting moving subjects especially in changing light.
Mike also makes good points about artistic intent. If your picture requires a wide depth of field then often you need to use a higher ISO, especially if you have no tripod, or you need to keep the shutter speed up.
One of the tools we have these days with digital is the ability to reduce noise in PP, especially selectively. So the takeaway is we should always use an ISO that is appropriate for the scene. I have been doing that for many years :)

If you do a google search for Adobe lens profiles, you can find out how to create them, and there may be more than one method. There are so many capabilities in the Adobe apps that most of us only scratch the surface. Since ACR was developed in the digital age I don't think Adobe's developers went back and created profiles for film era lenses for the most part. Some of those lenses may have similar optical formulas to digital era lenses and you can probably get those profiles as a starting spot.

In certain situations, like indoor sports photography in which you need a fast shutter speed, f/4 just doesn't cut it if you want to keep your ISO low. Also, not everyone really cares about stealthy or lite. I think the 70-200 balances the K1 better. On top of that I wouldn't call the optics on the 70-210 (while a fine lens) "just as good". One of these lenses is a professional * series lens and the other is an enthusiast lens.

I have made similar mistakes in the past. Now when there’s potentially missing data I look at what specific sub forum I’m in before answering. It’s understandable that you were confused but also clear enough what was meant if you look at where it was posted. That’s why I phrased my answer as I did.

And yet it is still lighter than the old FA* 28-70. Fast zooms on FF aren’t small or light generally.
