A faster write would clear cache faster if you are doing continuous shooting, assuming camera hardware can keep up. 20 MB/s(big "B") should be fine for 4K, as it's the bitrate that really matters 100 Mb/s(little "b") for 4K. 20 MB/s = 160 Mb/s. B=Bytes, b=bits. 1 Byte=8 bits.

These wasps (forest yellow jackets I believe) will hover over this shallow puddle on a rock and land without breaking the service tension, water skipper style. Pretty cool. The other insects like the honey bee need to land, walk up to the edge and drink. IMGP3942 by Levi Turman, on Flickr

Samyang 8/2.8 with a Sony A6000. Smaller and faster, some mirrorless designs are impressive.
I was using my A6000 because my spare K3 battery I just charged was dead. I was told the "ghosts" are known for doing that lol DSC02206 by Levi Turman, on Flickr

I've been mostly offline for the last year or so. Haven't been taking as many photos during that time (flying drones in most of my free time) Anyway I'm getting back on here and this Pokemon thing is everywhere! I saw a couple Pokemon at the park locked in a death struggle! The one with 8 legs won this fight, and was enjoying it's prize. IMGP3646 by Levi Turman, on Flickr IMGP3663 by Levi Turman, on Flickr

Good price and good card! I'd buy if I didn't just buy some 64gb micro SD cards, have 4 cameras if I count my phone and drone that require micro SD so I'm inclined to buy them anyway. Would still be nice backup cards for K3 and K30 hmmm

This time of year in the USA people are getting Tax refunds, and Tax credits good time to lure consumers who may not have disposable income most of the year.

FYI most of the features work better/only on Apple products.
I have this and the lag is 150+ms on android, and features are limited. Apple devices can trigger it is <5ms and get all the advertised functions. I use this with an old walkman to trigger flash is <1ms that is the way to go if you don't use apple products :)
The cable for Canon works for pentax.

I looked at the 333 exception before I bought and was planning on filing one but it looked to me like you needed to be a licensed pilot, or have one operating the UAV? There has been at least one photographer who was fined, but the judge sided with him the FAA regulations now is like a memo with guidelines not law enforceable on civilians.

Here's the AMA safety code- joining isn't a bad idea comes with some insurance and being a member grants a veneer of respectability. If you found a local chartered club you could probably get some lessons, some flight time, and maybe check out some used drones for sale. https://www.modelaircraft.org/files/105.pdf
I agree DJI really future proofed the P3P. I could see upgrading from the standard, just to get lightbridge! I always fly line of site, but at several hundred yards FPV can be helpful for avoiding things like power lines ;)

SYMA makes the X11C or X5C models that are pretty cheap and have a low quality camera. Good way to get your feet wet. Learn to fly one if these cheap quads and a P3 will be a cake walk.
I also considered the "Aries Blackbird X10" When it was $299 but it only has single axis stabilizer(up down) and some reviews state recording fails to start.
The Parrot Bebop is another option, I don't know much about it.
The Phantom gives a ton of functionality for the price, you get Bird, Cam, Gimbal, Radio, FPV, GPS, 22 min Flight time, etc even on "cheap" $600 Phantom 3 Standard.
I was being an Idiot and almost backed into a power line yesterday, in fact I threaded the needle between upper and lower lines. I'm and idiot, did not see them. You Tube |

Looks really Nice Lauren! That eye candy for work is great, and I also like the pumpkin patch. I'm a bit leery of flying near trees still, but I'm sure I'll get more confident with practice. Are you flying that walkway in the oracle video free hand or are you using a mode like coarse lock or home lock? Great stuff again!

That is a good idea, I bought a cheap $25 SYMA to learn on, after learning to fly that little thing I got all the crashes out of my system. The DJI is so much easier to fly with the GPS and smarts it's a dream!

Hi Guys,
I recently picked up a DJI Phantom 3 Standard-Sale price $549 at Sam's Club. Anyway I searched the forum and I didn't see an existing thread and this seemed the logical place so let's see who is flying drones!
This is a short composite video I've had about 10 flights so far.
I can't figure out how to embed the video lol here's a link. Youtu.be |

I got one last time was on sale IIRC $17. Good enough to get another now I really like how the bag is laid out and the WR cover is nicely integrated.
Using mine for video kit I'll let you know what's in there but don't shoot me ;)
Full Time
Canon SL1 50/1.8 STM attached
10-18,18-55,55-250 STM lenses
85/1.8 USM
Sony A6000 16-50 attached
EOS to sony E smart adapter
Still prenty of room, sometimes bring LED light or flash. Or X11C drone that's always fun.
Color is more orange than red. Very visible, but doesn't scream "camera bag" looks more like lunch box or diaper bag.

Yep that was a don't think just buy price. I bought gray market for $500 over a year ago that was a great price at the time! All this year street prices have been nice on many DA lenses.

When I look at the "official" pentax web store, it looks like the MSRP on some items has come down. I wonder if Ricoh is loosening it's MAP policy, or maybe rolling back some of the Hoya price hike.
Really tempted to get a 300 F4 and the 1.4x teleconverter, it's close enough to black friday I could get price protection from discover if the sales get better.

The removable hood is basically for use on FF as a circular FE. I take the hood off mine when I clean it probably not a huge deal. I don't think the old version has been made in a couple years so maybe this is a listing mistake?

I have to agree with you Jerry, the smoke does cause lost of contrast I should have fixed it more.
I did wake up to this image being in flickr explore so I have to be happy about that!
I'll probably make a virtual copy with a bit more contrast, and maybe a different crop.
Thanks Jerry!
