Out of the loop for a while, need new camera. Catch me up.

I don't really have a budget, I was expecting to pay over $1000 for the body but the K3 2 is surprisingly affordable. Will put that extra cash toward a lens a light travel tripod and a carrying case.
Side note: now taking suggestions for light travel tripods.

I want the grip because I take pics in portrait orientation often. Also because reasons.

I actually didn't know the silver was a different material? What's the difference?

Also thanks everyone for jumping in and getting me back up to speed. I missed it.

I'll probably look to get at least one new lens but I've already got the 18-55 from the K100D Super, along with a cheapo 70-300 macro, a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 (favorite lens), and a Pentax 50mm f/1.2.
Since Iceland is more about the wide open spaces I'm looking to get a good quality wide angle to replace the stock 18-55.

I'm assuming all those lenses will still work on a K3 II?

Hey folks. I used to post here pretty regularly while I was doing my Lego 365 projects, but haven't really picked up my camera in earnest in about 3 years. I'm finally going on my honeymoon in Iceland in June and is time to buy a new camera because my near 10 year old K100D Super just ain't gonna cut it.

I also haven't been following camera news of any kind in almost as long. So I need some help figuring out what to get.
I don't think I'll be going full frame so I'm more interested in the other cameras. I'm looking for what are the top 2 or 3 models. I'll be using said camera for every type of shooting and would also like to be able to attach a battery grip.

Thanks y'all!

Does the WG-3 shoot in RAW?

I'm looking to get a smaller, compact P&S camera to take with me on biking tours and long rides. As a Pentax guy my first thought was the WG-3, because it can withstand being caught in the rain, and falling from a bike, but can probably still fit in the back pocket of my jersey or my saddlebag.
But, being the nitpicky photographer that I am, I still want it to shoot in RAW. From what I've read it seems it only shoots in JPEG? Is this true? If it is that kinda sucks.
If this rules out the WG-3, do you have any other suggestions for a pocketable compact with specs similar to the WG-3 that does shoot RAW?

Thanks!

Make sure you watch the video linked to in my final caption. It might help explain it for those who don't know.

Also, could someone changed the title of the thread to: "LEGO365: Year 2 - Complete"

Day 365 - Outside The Wall

All alone or in twos
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand.
Some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and the artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall
After all it's not easy
Banging your heart
Against some mad bugger's wall.

Thank you, everyone, again, for another extremely excellent year. I will still be running contests on my blog from DK, and will still be taking photos - just not daily. We'll try weekly or so (I need a break!). So check there for updates and contests and doings. I hope you had as much fun as I did during year 2!
