New DSLR User....ready for your words of wisdom

Howdy Everyone!

Just purchased my first DSLR, The Pentax K-R. I've done a tonne of research and made the decision to purchase a entry level Pentax DSLR.

I have no idea where to start really....I'm doing some researching on the net and reading right through my manual.

Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated and look forward to hearing from you
