Hi, Douglas,
I've tried IR too, but this really was an effort at UV with an extremely dark reddish blue filter made of glass. It blocks all lthe visible light, lets in some UV, and also lets in a little bit of IR. I never had the patience to figure it out. IR was fun though. And why did Sweden need it?

Good question, because I have heard of the K-mount for years and was never sure if the ME Super has one or not. Is this the same setup?

Yes, it's a wonderful little camera, and fast too. I always liked it. One of the good things about it is that it's not automated at all and will work without batteries. The meter uses one, but the camera doesn't need it.

Also I should add that I tried some ultra-violet photography with it, but I wasn't quite sure how to do it as the meter was apparently very cooperative, yet the results weren't too great. Has anyone done this? It would be reassuring to hear some success stories with this.

Dear Pentax Forum,
I have my father's ME Special Edition from the 1980's, and I like it very much. I hope I can learn some things about it here, or about 35mm photography in general.
Thank you very much.
