The 01 is already the best street lens in the Q lineup. The 03 is second best.

I focused my 03 once to roughly hyperfocal distance and gaffer taped it there. Results have been pretty good since then and there are no worries about it getting knocked out of focus.
It seems that 95% of the focus throw on this lens is meant for lens/sensor alignment. It's either in focus or..... it's not.

I can't imagine the lens cap will have good enough image quality for any serious work. The 01 and 03 do just fine, however.

No new features, for fear of size and weight bloating. I just want the larger sensor so my 01 and 03 become a little wider. Won't they have to remove the SR mechanism for the larger sensor to fit? :hmm:
Ok, a faster electronic shutter scan time would be welcome, as it's not something that would come at the expense of extra bulk.

With the Q's rolling shutter, I have abandoned the idea of using adapted lenses for telephoto duty. And let's be honest: not many of them give very good images anyway. The glass was not designed for such a small sensor. Save up and get the 06.

This is exactly what I was thinking of doing last night after playing with this lens. That's the position on the distance "scale" that gave me any decent results. I'll give it a shot with some gaffer tape.

Not true with this lens. There is a very small range in which anything is in focus at all. All the way to either end is grossly out of focus. I'm sure it's that way due to the small size and manufacturing tolerances.
Just got mine in yesterday. Seems like a lot of fun so far.
