I tried to calibrate the lamp in accordance with the user manual: white board, appropriate distance, dark room. Unfortunately, the procedure did not work. I would like to point out that I have tried three times, because I think AF-500FTZ very good and I was anxious to it worked with trigger.

Hi Bulldogface, with power control of TTL flashes by V6 there are some understatement. First of all: V6 can not control every TTL flash for Pentax, Canon, Nikon or Olympus. For example it doesn't work as a controller with Pentax AF500FTZ despite the fact that it is TTL (I checked it personally, unfortunately). V6 could fire 500FTZ but power level must be set directly on the flash. To be sure you should see a list of compatible devices on cactus's website or here on the forum or experiment at your own risk. Personally I use the flash trigger with Metz 50AF-1 and Canon 540EZ and they work fine. With Pentax AF500FTZ V6 acts only as a trigger without any adjustments. Personally I find RF60s as a good choice in terms of power, durability and ability to control zoom wireless albeit little bit overpriced. Summarizing: V6 can trigger almost any flash even with one pin and studio strobes too, but it can not control power level of each TTL flash. However, V6 is great!

Indeed 21 is so weak that it barely matched 18-135?? Of course in the wide end.

Samyang 14/2.8, it's great lens, very sharp and contrasty and you get special filter holder with three rectangular filters manufactured by Cokin. Great astonishing lens.

If I can give advice, I would like to note that your system is worth so much how much its weakest element. Therefore, if you can afford it, you should buy the original Bowens equipment because it is durable, superior quality and very practical. You especially appreciate the Bowens Quickring solution if you have to use your softboxes outside the studio. And you'll appreciate, for sure, the quality of light that gives Softlight Reflector with Bowens diffuser or Sunlight Reflector.

By the way, don't you think that at the forum should run "antidefeatist" filter? ;)

Finally, you understand! So what's all this ridiculous discussion about a full frame. :D
Next, my question about money was rhetorical and at least sarcastic, neither I nor anyone else probably expected an answer. And at the end you will agree, taking pictures of the royal 6x6 format, the film has a soul and no matter what the format of the sensor will have a Pentax, digital image is no longer the same. So probably for this reason until now I shoot my sweet silver Sinar p camera. ;) Although every time it is a big challenge and for this reason I veeeeery well understand the phenomenon of digital cameras.
So no offense, I just wanted to direct our pleasant conversation in the right direction. ;)

I'm sorry man, but I can see that you are another victim of another myth, this time a high ISO. There were times when the highest available ISO was 1600 eg FUJI NEOPAN and anyone has complained about it or missed photo because of ISO lack. And besides, how you can imagine street photo or war reportage with as huge camera as 645? It's studio or landscape camera where you have as much light as you need either a tripod and as much time as you need, or both as needed.

Do you all think that this is problem of the "size"?! I think that dependence on one manufacturer of sensors (SONY) is a big mistake, especially when it also produces cameras and especially when Bayer's colour filter array sensors are blind alley, just mistake. If I'm wrong so why CANON announces research and developing of new "like FOVEON" sensor technology? And finally, this clearly shows who is on right way, when it comes to image quality and not marketing bla bla... Sharpness: the Sigma dp2 Quattro can reach the level of the Pentax 645Z
But by the way, how to demand thousands bucks for picture taken with camera for less than thousand bucks?

Something in the "waste of money": Review: Zeiss 135mm f2 (Canon EF)
Is the Zeiss is as unique as they think? I think the only good, better image quality I get with my K-5 and FA77. So when you look at the test photos taken with new K-3, which are on the Ricoh's www immediately becomes clear that the Limiteds are great lenses. Thus, with the K-3 and DA70 we get jaw breaker for one tenth of the price Canon 5D and Zeiss 135 combo. The only thing that was unique in this test is a model;) This is so my little contribution to the discussion about the FF, the lack of professional lenses etc. This whole lamentations about the FF is only a sign of frustration incompetent "photomasstakers" who think that a greater sensor will cover their lack of talent and skills. In my country we used to say that even the hem of her skirt bothered bad ballerina.

Hi,
I'm an amateur photographer. I started my photo adventure with ZENIT 12xp with standard 44m-4, then EOS 500, EOS 5Q. So I finished my analog journey a bit strange, of course in terms of size, with SINAR p and CONTAX G1 :) The decision to enter the digital world I took just two years ago, after much thought. I chose the Pentax system, despite the fact that the cabinet is a lot of Canon's junk . I do not regret that decision, because I'm having fun with photography again, as it was with my first beloved ZENIT.
