Hello All,
Recently sold a Like New 645Z that I just was not using vs my Nikon Z camera and Z lenses to cover every situation.
Still have two awesome Pentax 645 lenses that aren't selling and no longer have a Z or D body to bring them to life
If I decided to find a nice Pentax 645 Film Camera are these two lenses "backward compatible"?- Pentax D FA 645 HD Pentax-D 35mm f/3.5 AL [IF]
- SMC Pentax FA 645 Macro 120mm

I own the TC 1.4, and am leaning towards one of the two 300mm AF lenses
Is there a clear winner between the f/4 and the f/5.6 considering sharpness and weight and performance with the 1.4?

I am currently putting together a three lens kit for my 645Z- I have wide angle covered
- Love my SMC 120mm Macro ( latest version )
- Would like to add a 400mm or longer telephoto ( not too expensive as it will only be used on occassion )

I think the DA 645 28-45mm F4.5 ED AW is a great lens but it is a heavy beast, so heavy in fact that I find myself reaching for my 645Z less and less these days
And that is a shame because the files produced by the 645Z are second to none.
I'm wondering if anybody has replaced the DA 645 28-45mm F4.5 ED AW with the HD Pentax-D FA 645 35mm F3.5 AL [IF]
I shoot primarily Landscapes.

Yes, the images all came into Lightroom upside down

Lightroom Creative Cloud - so, yes it is the latest iteration
I think camera is in DNG mode, I'll have to check - does that make a difference?
Latest firmware - yes
This doesn't happen in Lightroom when downloading from my Nikon cameras

By out of sequence I mean they did not download in the same order as they were shot, so if you were working a scene and tried a few different aperture / shutter speed combos the images of that scene were not adjacent when looking at them in Lightroom
I use a card reader

This is not my first 645Z, but it's been about 5-7 years since I owned one
Had a fun morning shooting a pretty waterfall across the Bridge of the Gods on the WA side of the mighty Columbia
When I got home and downloaded the images into Lightroom- The images downloaded completely out of sequence time-wise
- Every single image needed to be flipped vertically
- Every single image needed to be flipped horizontally
What's going on and can I go into MENU and keep this from happening next time?

Does anybody have a handle on whether Refurbished or Open Box is the better way to go?
Open Box costs $1,200 more - is it worth it?
I had heard that with a Nikon refurbished body it's kind of a crap shoot re: how much use the camera has had. I heard you could get a camera with less than 20 clicks on the shutter or a camera with thousands of clicks?

Hi,
Just want to make sure I have this right.
Using the .80 formula, that would mean the 28-45mm lens is essentially a 22mm - 36mm lens in 35mm terms, and the 120 is a 96mm
Correct?

I just started the search for a Pentax 645Z camera and inadvertently ended up on the Ricoh EU website where a Brand new 645Z body is being offered for 3999 euros, a better price than I have found anywhere here in the US
Is there any downside to purchasing a camera from the EU website (provided I can even get them to ship to the US)?

Will this work/fit on my 645D

Does it seem like a good hack for improving focus with MF lenses on the 645D?
Is the fact that it only magnifies the center of the image too limiting to make it worthwhile?

I move back and forth between my Nikon D810 and Pentax 645D and every time I pick up the Pentax I am reminded of why I use the Nikon 90% of the time - FOCUS!!!!!
All my Pentax lenses are manual Focus lenses, all good lenses: 35; 55; 120 and I am always fighting to figure out how to absolutely know for sure if I am focused on what I think I am focused on :mad:
Today's problem: I cannot get the focus point to move off dead center to another one of the 11 available focus points.
I just hit the RESET button on the body - I have the focus knob set to SEL - and still cannot get the red dot to move from dead center.
Has anybody else experienced this particular malfeasance?

I recently fired up my 645D after several months of leaving it sitting on the shelf
I've got a couple of weird things going on that I can't figure out how to fix
I am hoping somebody can tell me how to correct them both- the camera is shooting in monochrome and I can't find where in the MENU to change it back to normal color
- the focus confirmation ( green light - beep ) isn't working on manual focus
