patrick9,
Okay, now I have to ask what is the SR, and why would a camera manufacturer build a rattle into their product?

Thanks,
Cris

Thanks everyone for the replys. My ES's computer died sometime ago, so I sold it along with the 50mm 1.4 lens, wish I'd kept the lens. Replaced the ES with an older Spotmatic that came with 50mm 1.7 lens, still have that. I've got a few screw mount lenses I'd like to try on the K30, even have a screw mount to K mount adapter laying around. I do have a question regarding the K30, might not be the best place to ask it but here goes: the K30 has something looses inside, when taking photos and tilting the camera from side to side there is a faint clunk, doesn't seem to effect picture quality, but I started noticing it when using LiveView which also makes a clunking sound... Any thoughts? Thanks, Cris

New to forum, but not new to digital photography, nor Pentax cameras. Just bought a new K30 on eBay with 2 lenses as a package deal. Last digital camera I bought was a Sony DSC-85 which was used for night photography, with mixed results. My first Pentax was a new 35mm ES that came with a very nice 50mm SMC 1.4 lens. Back then I had my own dark room and shot a lot of BW film and slides, including Ecktachrome that I processed myself. Before that, I got started with photography using my fathers Leica 35mm with a Summicron 50mm f2 lens. Not sure of the camera model, but it took wonderful pictures...wish my father had kept it.

The K30 is complex but easy to use, I'm interested in bird photography and sudo IR work as well, using filters and Photoshop....
