Thanks for the replies. Brand new cable. There's no drive on the desktop. Bupkis.
I'll get a card reader, maybe the connection on the Kx is bad.

Bought a Kx used. Takes photos fine so far, but am unable to download to my Mac (iPhoto).
Computer on, cable connected. Connect camera, turn on camera, red light on camera back blinks once, then bupkis.

Hello everybody. Just bought the K-x, have owned point-and-shoot Fuji, Nikon, and Canon, but seem to always come back to Pentax. My first was an ME Super back in the Jurassic Era.
Maybe I can learn something here.
