I just got back from a holiday to San Francisco and Seattle. Walking in the woods in Washingtone state one morning I found this guy and took one of my favourite photos from the trip. The longest lens I had on me was the DA 70mm and I think it did very well, amazing if you consider this was wide open. I think a longer lens would have lost the sense of the environment we were in.
Cross-posted to the K3 thread.

A heavy crop shows just how good the lens is:

My first taste of the DA15 comes late next week and I feel the pressure, especially when I see this thread! How will I choose my first shot? How will I know for sure it's performing up to its full potential? What happens when it learns that my mind is too puny to control? :p
OK i feel better now. Guess I'll just shut up & shoot.. ;)

I went out for moonrise last night but a thick bank of clouds in that direction prevented any moon photos.
So I grabbed this with the DA15 to not come home empty handed. IMGP4109-Edit by Matt Burt, on Flickr

I wonder if I cut my lawn in horizontal patterns will it allow the light diffracting off the shed to hit the underside of my socks to dry them quicker?

What feast is toward in thine eternal cell,

There are information about this on the forum, but he designed the 43/1.9 and then the 77/1.8. He then started to design a 31/2.4 of size similar to the FA77 but someone that was in charged wanted it to be f/1.8 so other designers took over the project and we now have a 31/1.8 instead of 31/2.4.
I have both and I use the FA77 much more. I specialize in portraits, which of course the FA77 is more well suited for. I never really fell in love with the FA31. I think it would be much better on full frame which it was designed for, now it is just a normal lens on APS-C.
A few favorites with the FA77 :) |

My favorite image from a recent shoot with my favorite local model… Grace Christine…
Comments and critique welcome!
Lighting setup was a single snooted strobe above and camera right at 45 degrees… white paper backdrop
Thanks for looking!
