Thanks. It's a gorgeous Bloom Theory neck strap/scarf I got for Christmas. Makes me feel fancy. :p

Trying out the FA 77 on the K-1. It's been years since I've touched this lens and I'm still on the fence about whether to sell it. |

It was an overcast day, so I played around with faking golden hour using a 1/2 CTO gel on an off camera flash. |

Agreed. The DFA 100 has been stuck on my K-1 since the first day I tried this combination. I've considered selling the FA 31 and 77 to fund the Fujinon 16-55 but I simply can't give up the DFA 100.

I think it was actually one of your posts, Driline, that convinced me to pull the trigger on the Fuji. I think you were expressing something akin to righteous indignation at how effortless it was to get a great image from the Fuji compared to Pentax. I still love my K-1 for the incredible dynamic range and the ease of processing Pentax RAW files in LR. I just won't be pulling it out much unless I have time to post-process.
First selfie with the Fuji. I was messing around with my Cactus V6 triggers and blew the highlights but still, I can't believe how fast and accurate the focus is with this kit. This is handheld at f/2 and holding a flash in my other hand. |

I just sold my Pentax K-5IIs, DA*55 and several other Pentax lenses to acquire the X-T2 and 35 f/2. It's unbelievable how easy it is to get great images from this camera, and it's simply a joy to use. If it had a flexible-tilt screen like the K-1 it would be perfect. Can't wait to start posting images to this club!

Received my Twist 60 in K-mount a couple days ago. I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces yet, but here's my first few shots.

Our local amusement park has a nightly snow event, so I had fun trying to capture my husband in the synthetic snow: |

Lovely images! Thanks for posting. I shoot mostly portraits and macro, so the combination you suggested sounds right up my alley!

Resurrecting an inactive thread - I just ordered the Twist 60 in K-mount (not offered through the Lensbaby website, but I emailed them and they're building me one for $199.95 + free shipping). I'll post the results here after I receive the lens.

DFA 100 WR. This lens hasn't left my K-1 since I first paired them together. |

I got gussied up for an event tonight so I took some before and after makeup/hair selfies with the DFA 100. No blemish correction in post, just good ol' fashioned painting-the-crap-out-of-my-face. I was excited about getting dressed up since my job often involves hiking while carrying heavy survey equipment and digging in the dirt so I'm typically fairly frumpy. It's also been ages since I've used off-camera flash so this was all around a fun exercise.
That just-rolled-out-of-bed look:

I don't think anyone's trying to push that opinion. I believe the camera selection was an artistic decision to reflect the spirit of the article, which is the idea of a trendsetting fashion icon emerging from the plebian realm of social media rather than the traditional ranks of socialites and fashion houses. The point of the article is that advancements in technology are leveling the playing field among artists, and I can certainly see that being the case with the iPhone.

Messing around at the park. FA 77 and DFA 100. Not sure why they look much more washed out than when I was editing them in Lightroom; I exported them in sRGB. Any ideas? |

My K-1 came in today! I'm so excited to be part of the FF club now. I took a natural light selfie with the FA 77 for my very first shot. I missed focus, the background is boring, and my positioning barely qualifies as a pose, but the important thing is it was taken with a FF sensor, which automatically makes it a good photograph! All kidding aside, I can't wait till I have time to really experiment with this magnificent piece of equipment and see what kind of magic it makes with the Amigos. ---------- Post added 05-10-17 at 10:09 PM ----------
Another fantastic shot, Chris! I especially love the way you brought out the texture on her dress and in her gorgeous hair.

Unfortunately it seems I'm a bit too relational to qualify. But I dislike shopping, enjoy IPAs and power tools, and can't let a problem go without trying to fix it (I'm an engineer, obviously). I'll try applying for the demi-man card.
And oh hey, boobs. Thanks LeRolls!

I like looking at LeRolls' lovely lady portraits too. Do I qualify for the guy club or do I have to fulfill the biological requirement too?
