Some pic's from this evening. My real first outing with this newly acquired lens.
All pretty low light, golden hour stuff. Shot with K-01 and with a 52mm rubber hood on the K28. ISO ranges from 200 to 1600. Aperture all over the place. Shutter speeds all over the place too.

Here's a shot that shows the nice color but with a crop to show the sharpness as well. And really, I didn't nail the focus.
And you know, the bokeh isn't bad at all.

I just got my first K lens today, a 28mm f3.5. Hoping to get some more time with it tomorrow in the daylight.
These pic's are barely altered. The saturation/color was left entirely alone on the birdbath and sky shot. The creek/bridge shot has a tiny bit of increased saturation.
I left the contrast alone on the birdbath and creek shot, but I did increase some midtone contrast on the sky shot.
My first reaction to this lens is the color. The sharpness seems quite good too.
All shot with my K-01

I went shooting today with this stunning little tele-zoom. The F 80-200mm f4.7-5.6
Not a fast lens, but great color and sharpness and aberrations are not an issue.

My dad's old SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4, late model with rubber ring, getting some new life with my new K-01. I had to de-yellow this lens a few months ago. I let it sit up against a black-light, the fluorescent type, for about 8 days. That cleared it up all the way.
I own the Pentax-M 50mm f1.4, the M f1.7, and the Pentax-A f1.7. There is clearly something to the aura or quality of the images with the Tak. Maybe it's the radioactive glass, I don't know, but the bokeh is magical, and the 3D factor is immense. It's a special 50 for sure...
Here are a few shots with the SMC Tak 50...
The close-up of the green door is a crop of the bigger view to show the killer detail this lens has. |

Having fun with my K-01 and my dad's old screwmount SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4. Shot this green painted door. The color came out great, and when I zoomed in, the lens's detail and sharpness really impressed me. See crop for the zoom. |

One of my first K-01 shots and with a pretty cheapo, older Sigma AF 70-210 lens, shot from fairly far back at 210mm and it's clearly not very sharp. F5.6. ISO 200. I liked the tulip that morning, how the morning sun was hitting it, how it was leaning, and for just a couple of days there our tulips had this really full spectrum of colors in it. I gave a little bit of saturation and vibrance in LR, but really didn't tweak the pic all that much other than that.
