I don’t see why there could not be such a club. The lens deserves it.
I dropped my DA* 300mm f4 recently on a hiking trip. The focus got stuck and it wouldn’t focus in either manual or autofocus mode. Somehow it fixed itself when I disassembled it this far.
It works again.

Has anyone taken the baffle off the back, and then tried it for FF? I’ve seen that done for a few other lenses to make DA lenses FF with good success. It’s a pretty easy procedure. Of course it voids the warrantee...

Thank you guys! That helped.
The second deeper set of 4 screws on top of the zoom helicoid and set in pairs. As far as I can tell all 4 of same thickness, but I don’t have a micrometer at hand to know for sure. Seems to work now and looks sharp.

I dropped my favorite lens.
Managed to fix the plastic zoom pin that was broken and reassembled everything, almost. I’m stumped by these little metal bits. When I disassembled they fell out from under aperature control plate.
What do they do? Where do they belong? How do i put them there?
