Yes, the basics seem much the same so far. The most useful tip so far, from the course, has been to shoot raw rather than jpeg. It was good to learn a little about that

Hi all, I picked up a K200D a while back, wanting to get back into photography after a break of 20-something years. Back then I used a Ricoh XR-10 so it seems I'm in the right place. I've been doing the open university photography online course and it's been a good refresher but also interesting talking about the new technology.
What to say as an intro? I'm not sure. I love architecture, landscape, b&w and have picked up a holga pinhole lens to play with. The holga lenses don't seem well regarded here but I'm happy to admit to having fun with it - my very first camera was a diana-F toy camera and I love the idea of the simplicity of the toy lenses :-)
