This is my own personal opinion, from comparing mirrorless photos vs DSLR photos. I felt that detail was sharper. Yes the camera is just a tool and the person using that tool is a factor. When using a tool you chose the best tool for the job at hand.

When buying a camera you have many choices of formats and brands. I'm not saying one format is better or worse. I have been wanting to purchase a camera for some time now, the funds will be available to do so. I have looked at mirrorless and DSLR.

Yes personally some of the photos with mirrorless are good. Personally I still think pictures from a DSLR still have the edge in quality. Overall performance and capabilities the edge is DSLR.

I shot Pentax film for years. And it is still a working camera. Once you have shot with Pentax, you will continue to shot Pentax. The next logical step will be a Pentax DSLR, most likely the new K-70.

Questions about Printers

My HP printer wore out, now I 'm looking for a new printer. I'm looking for a general purpose printer that will print photos too. Budget $200 and below.

When printing photos do have it done a store vs printing them at home? Or do you print your photos on your home printer?

I read the reveiw of the K-S2 that was posted in the reveiw section. The major issue that was emphasised, was the poor hand grip. Which made it difficult to hold.

Opinions from users how do you like/dislike the hand grip, does it make it difficult to hold?

When I purchase my next camera (hopefully very soon). I want to go beyond program/automatic mode into the manual mode. When you are shooting do you use different modes for every situation or combo of modes?

What manual setting do you the most? Beyond the kit lens what would be your general purpose lens?

We have one camera store here in Fort Smith AR. Even the salesman did not know about Pentax cameras. They only carry the big names.

Thank you for your input and insight. Buying a camera is hard decision you must look at what type of photography you are going to use the camera for. MU 4/3 I'm learning is niche camera and a DSLR is more all purpose.camera. Photo quality is indeed better with a DSLR.

Focus Points

In my camera research and reading reviews there seems to an emphasis on many focus points a camera has. Having more is it a marketing gimmick or an actual need for more? Pentax K S2, is conservative with how many focus points compared to the bigger names. How many focus does one really need and use?
