Took it with a Sigma dp3 Merrill. In a very sad event I had to sell my k-5IIs body, but still have all the lenses that would go great with the k-70!
Good luck everyone

Hey guys!
I Have been a Pentax fan since 2013 when I bought my first k-30, and I would never change to another brand, but I haven't had much time for photography in the last 2 years and have been trying to find a better home for my gear in Peru for the last year with no luck.
The next month I will travel to New York for a week and thought it might be a better opportunity to sell my gear. I am looking for your advice to find the best way to recover some of my Pentax investment while I am there.
Thank you,
Carlos
PD: in case it helps I own a Pentax da* 300 and dfa 100 wr macro in excellent condition, a silver fa 100-300 in good condition, and a Bower 14mm f2.8 in good condition.

There are many people with many different interests in the forum, so I will try to give an advice that can reach to every single one of you, something every novice should know and something every experts needs to remember once in a while. We all know (or will discover soon) that photography can be frustrating, you can try very hard and not get the results you are looking for, or people might not like your photos, and there are only two words that we need to remember in that situation: patience and persistance, we should learn from our mistakes, be patient to discover the true artists inside us and be persistent to nourish him with good thoughts and techniques, and only then our true photographer will flourish. Enjoy what you are doing, look at every photography or escene with an artist mind, if you don't truly believe in yourself nobody else will.
Hope it helps somebody.

Well today i took my pentax k.5iis (that arrived yesterday, bought it for 440 shippd to kauai with only 780 shots, great deal) underwatter, it is my second time doing UW photography but I LOVE IT, i and will do my best to get better, i had many difficulties specially maintaining the camera still and sumerging, well this were some of the photos i took, i had a problem with the flash, it stopped working : / (they would have been better if the flash didnt fail), but i continued, if anybody has experience with UW photography advices are really aprreciated (i am learning the hard way, about mask fog, not being able to sumerge for wich i bought a weighted belt wich wasnt enought, etc etc)
good luck and have a nice day. pez4 by carlosodze, on Flickr pez3 by carlosodze, on Flickr pez2 by carlosodze, on Flickr pez1 by carlosodze, on Flickr desdeelmar by carlosodze, on Flickr

i think you are missing the point, the argument applies to all aps-c cameras, plus nothing false is being said, fujis are great also. (not cheap though)

I am not sure if you already watched this but i think this forum (especially) need this kind of stuff: You Tube |
src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PHYidejT3KY?controls=1" allowfullscreen> |
i mean, i am not saying that i wouldn't like a FF (i might like one with the d4x specs for wildlife shooting) but i think aps-c has everything i need to make amazing pictures (not to mention the little extra reach), and with pentax always leading the aps-c cameras i really dont find any real reasons to change, at least for my type of shooting.
the only thing i would ask pentax is to improve its AF system (of both cameras and lenses).
let me know what you though about the video, ( i found the stick a little annoying, the rest was entertaining).
good night

hello, i would like to know what's your landscape technique when you want everything in sharp focus, i am just famiiar with the hyperfocal distance concept but i had read that using it doest give you the same sharpnes level in the background as infinity focus. (and i know that infinity focus doesnt give you sharp foreground), so... what to do?
I am considering (and will try soon) using layers in photoshop with a photo taked at infinity and another at the hyperfocal distance, (using the foreground of one and the background of another, i.e image stacking),
thanks for you opinions.

Hi, i am learning different ways of exposure blending, and i would like your opinion of what you consider the best way of doing it; manually with layers on photoshop? auto blending in programs like photomatix? is there another way? i wouldn't consider hdr because i like a more natural look.
Thanks for the responses
