Thomas Shahan has a pre-production copy of Laowa 100mm 2:1 and he posted a sample photo. So looks like it'll come eventually.

I have it. It's an interesting lens, but it is very challenging to use due to the super narrow depth of field and how much light you need. When you overcome the challenges, its rewarding. Would only recommend using f2.8-f5.6 for light and sharpness. f8 and beyond starts to get diffraction and lose sharpness.
Mantis photo is a 5 shot stack (handheld) with a Cactus RF60 and a DIY diffuser.
Shrimp eggs is single shot also with a Cactus RF60. Eggs are maybe a mm or less in size.

Welcome. I use the 100mm 2.8 Wr for a lot of my macro. Pretty nice lens. The WR is handy. For example I pretty much used this lens mostly when I did an engagement shoot in the rain. I’ll try to post some samples of the macro tomorrow.

It seems to make sense, but as I said after that, I've already plunged in with the DFA 50 and also bought few new lenses this year so it's more of what's left in my left wallet lol.

Thanks. It was at an airshow/fireworks event in Atchinson, Kansas.
How small is it? The one I posted one of my baby cherry shrimps in my tank. Few millimeters in length. (~5mm?)
Smallest thing that I've been successful in taking a photo for with the ultra macro lens were the shrimps when they were still eggs. Link |

Technically wasn't intentional, but a guy on a bike with lights came through while taking photos of fire flies. End result was this.

My submission. First time doing this so hopefully doing this right. Was doing a casual photoshoot at a park with some friends and this was my shot. Managed to get some of the flower petals falling in the background. For post-processing, cropped in a some, adjusted the color, removed some of the chromatic aberrations and removed a car that was in the background.

Some insect photos from this summer.
First 2: Fireflies. One of my favorite times. 2nd one tried out using mixing in some of bokeh out ones with the long streak ones.
Macro Shots:
The loud one
The graceful one
The agile one

A bit late to the party, but here are 2 of mine. 1st one is a composite of the Bailey's beads at the beginning of totality and towards the end.
2nd one is a single shot right before totality is over. Do have some shots of the corona, but still needs some processing and won't make it for this.
Both taken with K-1 with 150-450mm that's been cropped in.

I was debating what to upgrade my K-r to so waited until the full frame was officially announced. Ultimately chose to get the K-1 for better low light performance and the price was much lower than I thought. Pretty happy with it so far. Although I only have 1 full frame lens, its been a plus in almost everything.

1st shots. My god its a big leap from my Kr. On a different thread, don't remember who, but someone said there's going to be Disney's it's a whole new world song playing when I said I'm upgrading from the Kr. That person was right lol.
Both taken with Tamron 70-200mm 2.8. Wanted to see the low light capabilities and I'm impressed. First photo was in a dark room with the only sunlight dimly coming through semitransparent curtains couple feet right of where I was shooting. 2nd photo never thought I'd be able to get photos of my fish in focus without a flash.
I'm going to have a lot of fun this weekend.

So went to store. They still had the 50mm f2.0 M manual focus lens so got that and rubber hood. My 1st prime lens! Looking forward to trying it out at the aquarium and other parts of my trips.
