I have a similar dilemma, My K-30 has started to fail - the dreaded aperture issue has struck. I was pinning my hopes on a K3ii replacement late this year - Do I now wait for the K3ii replacement in 2019 (or whenever) or bite the bullet and buy a K3ii now. I have other options (KR/K20D) to use if I decide to hold fire until the new camera but its frustrating to have to go back to a previous model.

Hi everyone, I have been a Pentax DSLR owner for around 3 years now, moved up from a Panasonic bridge and started with a Pentax Kr and 18-55 kit, and a Tamron 70-300. I have used this forum frequently for advice and thought it might be good to get involved at last.
Recently ugraded to K30 for the WR as I shoot in all weather.
Really pleased with my decision to go with Pentax, picked up a few manual lenses initially, one of my reasons for going with Pentax originally was the K-mount.
Much of my photography is low/poor light indoor equestrian, which I struggled with initially. Finally got the correct glass and fine now £££!
