I saw this pair of turkey Vultures in a field. I got a few photos of them on the ground. As I approached, they looked ready to fly. A little patience payed off. As they took flight I snapped and tracked them. I was amazed at how large a bird they are. Quite majestic in flight. I like this photo showing one bird wings up and one wings down in full sweep.

I was taking some photos at the Pilkington Overlook on the Grand River and noticed these beautiful little yellow globes in the field. I used a polarizing filter to enhance the colours and got down below the flowers so I could capture the green and yellow against the blue sky. From a distance, I thought they were just Buttercups. I'm glad I had the time to take a close look. I used a low f stop to keep the focus on the flowers. Made my day. :) Have I said ho much I love my K30.

A lot of our railroads are being converted to hiking/biking trails. This is the Kissing Bridge Trail near West Montrose in Ontario. It was a railroad in the last decade. You can see the concrete supports where it crosses the Grand River in the center of the photo. I thought this might be a different way of looking at trains.

I had a K 1000 for about a decade and loved it but, unfortunately, traded it in for a digital point and shoot that everyone could operate. It's taken me another decade to find my way back a trusted old/new friend. Thank you Pentax! I've had my K30 for about a month and I absolutely love it. It feels so balanced and light in my hand. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this one. I have the 18 - 55 WR lens and also the 50 - 200 WR. It's nice no to have to stash the camera when it rains or snows.
