I have been using Silkypix and lightroom with the DNG format out of the K10d. Sildkypix seems to produce a more natural look but lightroom is certainly very good. I tried the software that came with the Pentax and even though it uses a Silkypix engine, I still found Silkypix to more natural.

Hello from Virginia. I have been doing photography for 50 years and still can't get enough. I worked for Nikon for 33 years and early retired about 5 years ago.
Recently wanted some lighter weight equipment to work with and fell in love with the K100d and the Ltd edition lenses. Now have most of them and have added the K10d.
Just incredible equipment.
