This is my entry into the photo contest. This picture shows one of the many fun summer activities that go on in our backyard in the northern hemisphere (Texas). This was taken with my K-r using a Quantaray 70-300 mm lens.

Thanks so much for the compliments and nominations. I really wanted to name the photo "mirror mirror on the trunk". I'll get the hang of all this someday, but in the mean time, I sure am having fun practicing. :)

I am a newbie to photography, but I am enjoying it oh so much!!!! The Pentax K-X was my first dslr. I was almost depressed when it quit working! I recently purchased a K-R and I am thoroughly enjoying it. The photo I entered was taken at a local auto salvage. It was such a unique shooting experience! I would LOVE to have a K-3 in the silver. I adore the many comments I get every time I pull my white camera out at my daughter's basketball games, softball games, the park, etc. :D:p;) Everyone else just blends in to the sea of black Nikon and Cannon! NOT ME!!!!!! |

Well I am definitely shopping now :\ My camera went out on me Friday. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I am debating about getting another K-X since I LOVED mine! I glanced at the K-R and K-7 too. I ultimately want a K5 iis, but will have to work my way up to that. I really want to get the Sigma 70-200mm 2.8. My photography instructor recommended it also.

I currently have the Pentax K-X and I love it. It's my first DSLR and I have shot many pictures with it this year. I have taken a photography class from a local professional and I am ready to upgrade my camera. I primarily am shooting my children's sports, but I would like to do stills too. Any suggestions on upgrading? My teacher used Canon cameras.
