I do like this one. Only the halo around the tree disturbs a bit. Think you've got to do some serious masking to lessen the halo.
I like the grey gloomy mood of the picture.

Wow Pete!
That is quite a different processing. A lot more blues in the nebulosity.
And a lot less saturation in the reds.
The stars are better too, a bit fainter stars become visible, the colors show better and the brighter stars are deeply blue now.
How did you evaluate the differences?

Joined today,
Interested in your pictures and of course in equipment.
My wife and I use K20D, K01 and K5 nowadays.
But we started of with Zenith and Practica L.
The Minolta XD7, X700 came after. Lots of gallons developers and darkroom work being done then.
Got children and when we looked around again the digital era had seriously started :)
For us Pentax had the most bucks fot the bang and weather resistant equipment. So a K20d was what we bought.
Still very happy with our choise except that Pentax should market itself a bit more ;)
Hope to spend good times with all of you around the world.
