Hello there,
I'm Toumal, K5 user and I predominantly make photos of RC models both at airshows and at our local clubs. I fly RC planes and helos too of course ;)
I previously had the K100D, K20D, then switched to a Canon 5D Mark II. Ultimately I had troubles with customer support and build quality of their lenses as well as AF performance. The 5Dmk2 was a cool camera, but since I still had some Pentax stuff I eventually switched to a K5, and now the K5-IIs.
I'm definitely a hobbyist and not at all what you would call "educated" in the field of photography. I'm also not a Nikon-hater or a Canon-disser, I just like the K5, it works for me, and the K5-IIs more than fulfilled all the expectations I had in it. I guess I'm also one of many here who cautiosly watch what the future will bring for Pentax. Personally I hope for something that rivals Nikon's D7100 in terms of AF fields, MP count, etc. while keeping the excellent design and user interface and all the other goodies we all know and love on our Pentax. And if not, I can always go back to Canon.
Kidding ;)
