Hello everyone,

I was a member here for a few years, in fact I sort of forgot that I still was until I was sent an email to renew my membership, anyway here I am.
My name is Dave I'm from the N-W UK. Lancashire, I will be 79 in October and I still love photography. I still use my K100D that I bought at B&H in NYC on a trip visiting friends some years ago, although not very often these days.
I still have lots of film camera's including Pentax Slr's, Spotmatic, ect, some folders including a Voigtlander Perkeo 6x6cm 120roll film a tiny medium format camera and collection of Russian rangefinders, Leica clones, could never afford the real thing. I also have lots of lenses Takumar's, M's, Tamron Adaptall's, Vivitar's including some rare ones like the series 1 200mm f3, 24mm f2. East German lenses, and of course some Russian lenses Jupiters from the 50mm 3 onwards and various other bits and pieces filters ect'.
I decided a couple of years ago to lighten my load and sold my K1 and my AF lenses and tried Fujifilm because I love the rangefinder style but old age and a lack of IBIS meant goodbye. I tried Olympus, couldn't get used to it, tried Panasonic because my wife has an FZ300 bridge camera its very nice but I didn't like the results I got from the GX8 so that went too, then Fuji came out with the X-H1 with IBIS, wonderful, so now I have a nice rangefinder type camera that I can use some of my lenses on, although I think its time to pass some of them on. Getting old means shaky hands shortness of breath ect' and I find that even with IBIS anything over 100mm is dodgy without support of some kind but I'm enjoying myself anyway and its nice to be back... All the best...Dave...
