I think you will love the SMC 28 f3.5, based on my own very limited experience so far ( I have owned mine for about 2 weeks, but have only shot with it maybe 10 times).

Do you happen to know where I could lay my hands on equivalent profile(s) for the 645D?
Thanks,
David

My first shots with the above combo. Some of them are slightly cropped, due to some inadvertent vignetting to bottom left and top right, caused by the hood being insufficiently rotated (locked).
These three shots at, or close to, minimum focus distance. f5 for the last shot.

Welcome HelenJo,
I'm only a youngster at 61. I still own an ME Super that I bought in 1981.
I look forward to seeing your photos and love your very positive outlook.
Greetings from SE Australia.

Thanks pinholecam on this thread (and elsewhere) for extolling the virtues of Raw Therapee. I just downloaded 5.1 and used it to process the image below.

A much larger (iMac desktop-sized version) is here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9dwIDu9gH7FdDd5YWRsTk1pQzQ (it looks a little over-sharpened by the stepwise sharpening script I use).

I'm away from Australia visiting family.
I have no real editing device with me except for rudimentary sw available via a tablet running Windows 10 - not mine to keep; as such I am posting in-camera jpeg output files only, with minor PP via Windows 'Photos'.

Trying out some pixel shifted shots yesterday at a nature reserve. I used Motion Compensation as the water was often a little disturbed, by rare platypus, or by wind.
As expected, attempts at processing using ACR did not give good results, with clear colour issues in areas of disturbed water. Digital camera utility did seem to cope well with most of the movement.
I output 16-bit AdobeRGB TIF files from DCU and imported them into Capture One Pro 9.2, with only minimal further processing, and then C1Pro's claimed improved re-sizing algorithm (inherent to any of its size-reduced output recipes) to produce the 1200w jpgs for Flickr upload.

I haven't reviewed images on the last few pages (yet), comments / likes to follow.
Something different from me - I shall probably inundate this thread with such images in coming days...a weekend photo shoot and tuition at a local aviation museum complete with flying 'warbird' aircraft. Flickr doesn't do justice to the resolution of the last one. The control-column string 'cording' filaments are clearly visible on the original full-size image.

I've really enjoyed going through a number of pages pf this thread. I checked what I've posted here before and it's been a while.
These are two fairly recent scans (home-scanned on Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV running Vuescan) from HP5 I shot in 1981. I cannot remember the camera/lens but I know it's after I lost my first ever SLR which was a Soviet Zenit. This was a fabulous Easter spent on the Fanad Peninsula in Donegal. I grew up in N. Ireland. These next ones are bang up to date, having received the scan files from the commercial lab a couple of days ago. I love the 67 system and have now sold the 6x7 and bought a 67 II, although I ponder the cost-benefit of such a move.

Andrew, you made me research the Keills Peninsula because that shot, with my (so far, only) visit to Islay and Jura in early March, had me thinking it could have taken from the former! The layered hills are superb and the seabird makes it for me. ---------- Post added 05-12-16 at 03:59 PM ---------- Jonathan - I prefer the Fuji160 shots of paris to the Reala set, although I like them all :)
Ed - Spiffing as usual - how on earth did you manage to get a star trail directly aligning with the tip of the AWA tower?!
Tom - Great to have these model shots as a very glamourous counterpoint to this landscape-rich thread.
Matt - Wonderful violet (mauve?) alpenglow. truly wonderful scenery.

I had a blitz of street-art photography on 13 April when in Melbourne, Victoria.
I used a Fuji GA645 loaded with Portra 160 and a Leica M2, first loaded with home-rolled FP4+ and then with a cheapish (compared with most other stock) Agfa Vista 200. I haven't developed my FP4+ yet however I received the link to my scanned colour prints today. I'm super-impressed (again) with the quality of Portra 160 and the resolution of the GA645 lens.
Some GA645 samples to follow, with all of the images I took loaded into the same Flickr albums, should anyone want to view more: street-000065570006 by David McI, on Flickr street-000065570004 by David McI, on Flickr street-000065570002 by David McI, on Flickr

I hail from your neck of the woods originally and we were back in mid Feb-mid Mar for significant family events. We stole 10 days in Scotland during that time :)
