Was watching a mates cat the other day and decided to take some pics. They turned out pretty good, so I thought I see what you had to say. Still learning, escpecially post-editing in the pentax suite. One of them is a bit off, but the caption was so awesome I had to include it.

Good points! Didnt think about the lights before now, they're from the christmas tree btw, a bit old :) Will try shooting some high contrast ones in the future

Thanks! Thats a great edit ;) I definititely see what you mean. The picture was shot in raw and converted in the pentax suite, but I have absolutely no clue about editing, so shadows, highlight etc. will take some time for me to figure out. Thanks for the feedback :)

Adding a signature

Hi,
quick question for you. I want to be able to easily add a signature (or what you'd call it) to my pictures when I save them from RAW to jpeg. Preferably a signature I've made of course, in form of a transparent jpeg or something. I want to know what the easiest and fastest way to do this would be, and I would like to be able to do it with only one program as automatical as possible. If I could press a programmed button that adds the signature and saves it or something. If it's possible in the pentax suite it would be great, don't want to spend much money on a program.
You get my question I guess :) Just ask if there is anything, and any answer is appreciated! :)

Just about started taking pictures, my first camera ever. This was taken out of my window, thought it looked really good :) Tell me what you think, I could use the experience :) I'm still just around 500 photos, so still learning!

Figuring out that green button :) WB was tungsten in #2. Better focus in #3 would have made it great I personally think :) Thanks for the comment:)

Thanks :) Will start shooting more RAW, know about the focus in the third, but I thought the photo itself was really cool. Tungsten in the third, kind of a beginner thing I guess, looked fun  The eyes was difficult, will improve. And yes, it is a 1:1.2 lens. Got a bunch of old lenses that my father used when he took pictures :)

So I bought myself a used Pentax K-R, almost like new, for about 400$, started taking some pictures and its really cool :) Got everything working with the old objectives and also got a DAL objective with the K-R. I really dont use it though, because the others just take better pictures and it feels like a plastic toy compared to the ones I got. But its fun seeing the auto settings compared to the manual with the old ones :) Only problem I got is the optical viewer/seeker (?) doesnt show the focus very good, so I have to use the screen to focus. Maybe I have to get my sight checked..
Is there some sort of beginners section where you can post pictures and get feedback? Thanks :)

Been some time, and I have come to find A LOT more photo related stuff, especially Pentax. So here is a small list of some of the things I found: Two large boxes full of equipment to be specific:
A lot of things here I dont know what is, see for yourself. Laid out what I thought was importand in the pictures.

Well, A full Pentax auto 110 set (camerahouse is missing for some reason.. So I am unsure if its a super or a normal one).
The Pentax LX box pluss stuff, bag etc.
Another lens (1:1.8/55)
A lot of tripods, one really small, one medium, one large and one made out of wood. Probably almost 100years old.
Tons of old Pentax brochures.
Pentax photo annual, full I believe?
Pentax calender 1980.
Some more Pentax related to, look at photos (not even showing all)
Rolleiflex 2.8F in great condition + brochures etc.
Carl Zeiss Ikon of some sort, can't seem to find which model this is..
Some other old cameras
A lot of accessories

And.. Tons of old Pentax stickers with bags! :)

Tell me what you think :) and if you know what some of it is worth (mostly the old cameras) it would be great. And model of the Zeiss camera.

Thanks for all replies! :) I see now that I didnt make it clear enough, but I was planning on keeping the lenses as I understood they are very good and the modern day equivalent costs a small fortune.. And I know about the problem that I can only use manual, but thats very fine by me, actually thats what I want to learn :)

Hi, Ive never been really into photography, but I have started a tiny bit just reading up on the different stuff (like ISO, shutterspeed and aperture). So I needed a camera, we only have a finepix s2000, which is fine for taking ok pictures if your not looking for anything special I guess. I knew my father did a bit of photography before, so I searched the basement and found this stuff (attachnig some photos to.): an old Pentax LX slr camera, a bunch of lenses and a bunch of other stuff for this particular camera and lenses. I had NO experience in photography before.. yesterday? so dont judge :), there were some filters, a monocular converter, some giant flashes (thats what their called?.. only know norwegian), some servo flashes, waist level finder (?), and there was supposed to be even more down there (including a giant lens at about 400mm).

Well over to the interesting stuff (for me atleast), the lenses. My father said they were more special than the common lenses with the same names that looked the same, I have no idea though. Just listing them quickly here and trying to get some pictures too: f/3.5 35-105mm, f/3.5 18mm, f/1.2 50mm, f/2.5 135mm and a 4/17 fish-eye. As you can tell I don't even know what to call the lenses.

Anyway, the lenses are in perfect condition, camera I think is perfect to. My question (I think) goes as following: I want to switch the old slr into a new dslr, because I need the pictures on my computer. I understand that the house itself is worth a bit, and I got a lot of stuff for it to. Do I did some research and figured out that I can use the lenses I have on a new dslr camera. No problem? So any suggestions on a dslr "beginners" camera (I understand that this equipment isn't for a learner like me, but what the hell, its not like its falling out of the sky for me!) that I can get for about the same price as I can get for the old LX? Was looking at the K-30.

Gladly share any thought on this one :) And also Im interested in learning, feel a bit bad using this equipment when I dont know much, so please tell me anything :)
