i am wanting to purchase an ND filter but when looking for one i noticed there are different types or different shades? is this true or am i just being a complete noob!?

i shot these photos in jpeg but i did edit them slightly using a hdr editing software but i was very surprised and pleased with the original results in jpeg, this is also possibly because this is my first dslr so im seeing a lot of improvement in detail compared to my old bridge camera! i will include the exif data with my next photos as i wasn't aware you could do that! thanks for your comment!

hi i have recently purchased the k 30 with the 18-55 wr lens and i would like to purchase another lens!
i mainly shoot wildlife and landscapes so i was thinking about the pentax 55-300, is this a good choice?
any help would be appreciated!
