I use Energizer 2500mah too. I have 7sets of 4 batteries. My K100D and istDL2 both need AA batteries too. I've not tried any other brand however, happy with the performance of Energizer:)

I use a ringlight (purchased from ebay for $89 + postage ) with my K10D & K100D and with Sigma 105 macro lens with good results. It was purchased more than an year ago. Brand name is Bower(not a popular brand I guess). That seller is still selling ring flashes and ring lights on ebay. Try a search with seller name "everfull".

The issue with cheep memory cards is not only the lack of writing speed, may be you will endup with a corrupted card and loosing your valuable photos, it happened to me with a cheep Sandisk UltraII
