Love the clarity of 24MP. K3 works great in very cold weather and easy to use with gloves on.

Had a great chance to try out the K3 at an indoor event - with low light, high ISO. Color, clarity is great, low noise at ISO 3200. Likin' it!

Enjoying getting used to new k3, out in the snow today, though, the results of autoexposure were not very consistent. Albeit, I do need to familiarize a bit with the results, I thought it would be a more intuitive transition coming from a k-30.
Here' s the best from today....

I bought a remote release recently (online) and tested it out for a family portrait today. Worked amazingly (you can see it in my hand). Works with autofocus and at a good distance on the K30.

The clouds in southern Ontario lately are spectacular, especially taken with m K30, DAL 18-55 and polarizing filter. |

Surprised there's not more in this club! Have a K30 and love using the vintage A lenses. It allows manual or auto aperture choice and manual focus with focus peaking. Works really well.

Take a water-proof camera bag for all your Foto gear. As well I like to carry my camera in a very light weight nylon bag to keep dust out. (Just for walking around, I actually use the bag that my sleeping bag comes in- its light and easy to crumple into my pocket).
Remember not to spray bug spray on your camera/lenses.
Take a good long and reasonably fast lens, great for candids of your family and also if you see any wildlife ( other than human)! Have fun!
Just got back from Killbear (northern Ontario) and caught some great shots... See my albums....
