I tried the "wind more slowly" approach - that seems to stop the problem. I now need to experiment to find the fastest speed that works, as currently I'm winding with exaggerated slowness and it feels a bit strange.

Hi, I've just bought a P30t and I'm getting the same problem. I'll try some of the suggestions. Reluctant to bin it as it otherwise seems a very nice camera.

Hi everyone, after a long time away from Pentax DSLRs I have a K30 with a few lenses to play with. Here's one I took with the 50mm DA 1.8. |

I'm also very pleased with the Tamron 70-300. AF can be ridiculously slow but the results are great.

I also splashed out for this lens. Only used it to take some photos of my house for selling purposes so far but I like the look of the results, and it is almost silent which is a great improvement over the kit lens.

Trying out the new Tamron 70-300 yesterday.
hope this is not the kiss of death for this feller, pheasants usually end up squashed on the road shortly after I photograph them |

I have the reverse of this question. The dust alert on my K-r shows spots and streaks of dust (the streaks covering half the image). But I see no evidence of dust either when I look at the sensor or on any images. So what is the dust alert image showing me???

Thanks JayBee!
I can't find the post that contains all the nice signature images (for each type of camera) - can anyone point me to it please?
Cheers

Morning all, I have had a Q for a few months and liked it so much I've now found a nice second hand K-r to go with it: ) Also looking forward to getting the 35mm f2.4 AL which I ordered too in a fit of spending! I shall post photos as soon as I have anything worthy of sharing...
Cheers, Martin

I've done several tests comparing my 01 and 02 lenses using the sample cards that Amateur Photographer mag gave away. I find my 02 is as sharp as the 01 as long as it is stopped down to f4. So with the 28mm wide end, which I like to use for most shots, I keep it on the camera most of the time. Now where is that wide prime that Ricoh have promised....
