I need the same part for my me se - I bought a for parts me on amazon for $15. Now I have to figure out how to get it to unscrew without damage. Having this camera makes me want to fix it but am sure its beyond repair-

I have several old range finder cameras both of which do not have working light meters, was wondering if anyone knows of a hand held meter which could assist in camera settings. hopefully not too expensive or large-
Many thanks-

Many thanks- I don't know if any of the seals are bad but just wanted to check the cameras due to age (the cameras, not me)

this has probably been asked before, but can you tell if the light seal on an old camera is still good without wasting film to check them out- also, is it possible to replace them yourself, or can it only be done by a repair shop, many thanks-

Hello, just stumbled across this site today and joined right away. I bought my first slr camera as a teenager , a Pentax K-1000. I learned a lot from this basic camera- as I could I bought other Pentax cameras- including a me se, and mx. Lately have been in the digital world but am wanting to get back to film to some degree ( do not think I'll fire up the old darkroom again, but want to see what I can remember) It has been many years and a lot has changed (camera supply stores do not seem to exist anymore...) so am sure I'll have plenty of questions-
Thanks, John
