Glad you liked them, Skipper - I think it's a great technique, particularly, if, like me, you're colourblind!
Here's a couple more - it works for cityscapes as well:

I really like these, partly because the fisheye effect is not prominent, I think due to your good composition. I have a neighbour who is Croatian, and he's lent me a book on Dubrovnik, as I'll be briefly visiting there in September. Your photos of the Adriatic coast make me look forward even more to the visit. Thanks for sharing them.

Wonderful two images. Just makes me wonder if the second subject was a snack for the first.

Skipper, isn't the fisheye just wonderful? I've found it produces such nice, colorful images. The CA is a bit pronounced especially on overcast days, but overall, such a nice lens.

I really like Art of the Nature. The colours, the effects, the water drop... it all fits together nicely. Very well done :-)

DA * 300
I shot the three first scenes using a tripod and a viewfinder, instead of of LCD, because the C.D. AF with this lens was too slow and inaccurate. The last shot is cropped and was shot handheld some days later. Take a closer look at the third shot, there is a funnel of another ship, behind the red Viking Line ferry, disappearing behind the horizon, due to the curvature of the earth. According the formula, that ship was rougly 6,5 km away from me. The lens is very sensitive to atmospheric conditions.

So, here is a truly amateurish snapshot of a blue tit, much too small, much too far away and shot with a much too short lens: Pentax K-3 + DA* 200mm photo
However, what did amaze me a bit was, that one could actually crop so tight and get a decent result like this: Click to see 100% non-resized non-sharpened/non-postprocessed image
Surely, that K-3 sensor does offer something extra in terms of resolution!

DA* 300 Now that I have the AF fine adjustment set to +3 for backfocusing with that lens it is much better. oldmansniper |

The key to success lies in not biting off more than you can chew.
Or in this case, catching a fish too big to swallow.
Stab it till it stops flopping around...
Down the hatch...
Maybe if I shove it in...
On second thought, I wasn't that hungry anyway. |

Those are some really pretty photos. I love the starbursts and reflections throughout. My favourite photo would have to be the second last one - gorgeous colours here and a lovely composition. Thanks a lot for sharing - really inspirational :D

Hello my fellow K-3 users. I'm still learning the camera and its been a challenge but a fun challenge. I'm still learning the intricacies. I'm having problems with noise at higher ISO's. I've turned the NR off but still get a bit of noise compared to some of the fantastic shots I've seen on this site with higher ISO's. I'm thinking operator error along with some practice makes perfect concepts.
The below shots were taken with the DA 15/4 and FA* 24/2 on the Elwah Trail in the Olympic National Forest, Washington.
