I was wandering around Siding springs waiting for the sun to go down to do some astro photography. I spotted these guys having a feed, totally wrong lens for the job, but with a steady hand I got a nice shot.

This is 9 photos stacked, as you know macro has a very shallow depth of field, I was torn in deciding which picture to post, I also liked some of the individual images with the SDoF.
Cheers, hope you like it. : )

Yes, I agree that would be a problem, I guess the lesson here is, don't buy from the importer. I think I might try and wait to see how the new K 1 performs, I say try because it will be hard to stop myself going down to DCW to get one.

Cheers Marcel

Now I think I will wait until it is in store at DCW then go and have a play, and put the $100 I save toward a new lens.

Pentax Australia K-1 Launch

I just cancelled my order with CRK, they say the K1 will arrive in Melbourne on the 10th of May, I am guessing that they don't want to send out the K1 before the launch.

I am also curious why CRK are $101.00 more expensive than Digidirect! CRK are the importers. Does this mean I can go to the launch, party at their expense and buy the K1 cheaper? I would have though CRK would have at least matched the price.

I am looking forward to reading the feedback on the K1

Cheers

I took this picture when I was in a coffee shop in Gdansk, having apple pie and hot chocolate. It was cold and snowing outside, this picture always makes me feel warm.

EV compensation

Hi

I have a pentax K5, I find that when shooting in normal daylight conditions using multi-segmented metering, I need to adjust my EV compensation to +1 stop to get a good exposure. If I don't my pictures turn out a little on the dark side. I am shooting in manual mode.

This is my first DSLR, since shelving my Pentax P30. Am I doing something wrong? Should I be using centre weighted metering.

Regards Marcel
