Hi Im trying to update my firmware on my K3 - but when I turn my camera on holding the menu button no firmware instructions come up ? just normal screen - What can I do - it needs updating as it had an old version

adwb you got it right ! both cheep remotes would not work - I finally got a 'proper' pentax waterproof remote and it works perfectly :-) thanks all for you advise

Hi All --the remote will not work on my K5 - I have got a cheep remote from ebay to use on my Pentax K5 -- I have switched remote on the camera ( red light flashing ) i have checked the battery on the remote and even got a second one to try but no luck -- I will have to buy a proper pentax one to try but i am very short of cash ! any suggestions please ? Pete

Hi All Im new to this Forum and have recently bought a new K5 camera and have just bought a Focal mc 135 lens - great looking lens and fits perfact but it wont work !? all I get is a flashing F -- and it wont do anything -I have been using an old 300 mm lens which works fine - can anyone help me ? I need to use cheep lenses until I can save the cash for good ones

Hi all I have just bought my first DSLR a Pentax K5 ! im very Happy with it I have a Basic kit WR lens and now saving hard for a good 300 mm lens - but I would like to use my old Praktica B lenses on it but I cannot find adapter in the UK - can anyone tell me were I can get one ? loads of Praktica to Canon but nothing for Pentax ? I got the Pentax because I was told it was good for using old lenses - Help please Thanks - Pete from Suffolk UK
