Dear Pentaxians,
I just bought a K-3 II in China - due to a longer business trip.
Randomly a strange behaviour appears:
The LV suddenly turns on and it is not able to switch it off by the LV button - nothing happens.
But therefor the GPS button changes its function to zoom on the LV and randomly also turn off the LV.
The GPS is not shut off anymore and the exposure keeps on measuring and does not switches to standby after a few seconds like during normal operation.
After around +- 15min (doesn't matter whether on or off) the camera decides to switch back to normal operating mode.
This courses for around two weeks and then the camera works perfectly for two month. I thought the problem was fixed because I REinstalled the Firmware update. But now it happened again...
Does anyone have the same problems or any possible solution?
Best regards from China

Hey Guys,
this is a my "Nosediving Pelican" at Longboat Key, Fl.
Two pelicans were about to catch some fish - and this one I shot down.
Although it's exposed for 1/800th of a second (not available in the shutter speed drop down menu) the background is blurred - and not only due to the f/2.8 aperture!
The birds are diving such speedfull it was about to take 50 shots to get one good shot.

Both of your hints I tried before - and the contacts between camera and lense are dry - the camera also indicates an aperture - but the wrong one...

Hey guys,
I`m on vacation in Florida and took a few exposures last evening at the beach - some light rain, warm as usual. Afterwards I cleaned it with a wet paper to remove any salt from the surface.
This morning the view finder displayed the MF - logo and an aperture of f1.7 - way to fast for that lense.
I checked all the functions AF/MF switch, green mode nothing worked.
In conclusion the AF and ap. detection works fine with my other lenses - but not with my 18-55WR.
The ap control works over all finde - with MF you can get well exposed pictures - just the number is wrong.
Any ideas how to fix this problem for using the lense as usual for the rest of my vacations?
