This is the ceiling of the rotunda at the New Mexico state capitol building in Santa Fe. I thought it made a nice abstract subject. Taken with the K-3 and the 18-135.

I forget exactly why I took this picture, but it is also a good demonstration of what the K-30 can do.
Taking a picture of her is always a good test of just about anything.
Black cat in a fairly dark room. I had planned to take this with one of my MF lenses, but the 18-135 did a better job of focusing than I could under those circumstances.

This is my buddy Leila. After her predecessor died of lymphoma, we went to the animal shelter. While my wife played with a kitten in one cage, this cat pressed her muzzle against the door of her cage, so I stuck my finger in to rub her nose; she took a step back and licked my finger. The remaining my cat was closer to my wife, so she was looking for one that would be close to me, and that gesture got Leila a place in our house ... and often I awaken to find her pressed against me.

Here's a milky way shot I took using 15-30. I did not try the Astro setting (too much going on in the foreground here). So this was 20s exposure @3200 ISO
Just playing around. One of these days I need to try one with Astro. This is obviously fairly heavily edited in Lightroom.
