I'm new to the forum, but I've been using Pentax DSLRs since the K10D came out. I've recently bought a K-01 specifically to do all sky auroral time lapse imaging. I initially tried with the K10D with pktriggercord, but found the K10D's sensor far too noisy to do astrophotography. I've been quite keen to get pktethercord running with the K-01. It appears K-01 support is incomplete, but promising.
I'm using version 0.81.01 (the lastest version from svn), running on Ubuntu 12.04 Linux (64-bit). It does indeed drive the K-01, but at a very rudimentary level. Acquiring images works, but setting parameters is buggy. I can change the aperture in software, but I can't set shutter speed or iso. Shutter speed appears stuck at 9999 on the camera's display. Multiple frame sequences and setting intervals also works. These are the features I need in order to perform time lapse sequences.
