Fog above the Amper moss

This picture was taken when I was waiting in the Amper moss for the sundown. Luckily, exactly in this moment, the fog was slowly crawling into the scene. With the trees as main motif, and the nicely colored sky in the background, it was a dream for me to take this shot.

After a long and gray autumn there was the first snow coming to town. I took my camera for a walk and found in front of a monastery this bench, which already shows the marks of the long autumn's humidity. It's time now for snow and winter!

This picture was taken just a couple of days ago near to my home. After sun went down, the sky began to shine in pink and red colours, as the clouds were illuminated from below. I tried to create a symmetry in the picture with the trees and red skies mirrored by the little river. I was struggling quite a bit between portrait and landscape variations, but in the end decided for the portrait orientation.

From what I saw at the picture of the lens here:

Cosina 28mm f/2.8 MC MACRO Lens Reviews - Cosina Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

I am almost sure that the Exakta is a rebranded Cosina.

Would be interesting to compare it to the Vivitar Close Focus though ...

I recommend the A series lenses if you also want to use the flash - otherwise get the M series ...

Hello,

I own the above mentioned lens. I think that the image quality of this lens is very good (even though it is made from plastic). I do not find much about this lens on the web, so I was wondering whether somebody of you has the same lens and may know, who was producing that one. Could it be that it is optically the same as the Vivitar Close Focus?

@wombat2go: I'll keep you posted ...

@MysteryOnion: What helped with my Tokina was to really get out the lens elements and then putting some acetone on the aperture blades. Basically this would be the first thing that I would try. However, before opening up the whole thing, I would still need to try the lens out more thoroughly, as I need to analyze under which conditions I get overexposed images.

Pentax M 28 / 2.8

Hello,

today I got a cheap Pentax M 28 / 2.8. I got it cheap, because the aperture blades are closing a bit slowly. I took the risk to buy it because I think it can be repaired. I once repaired an old Tokina RMC 28 / 2.8, which was not that difficult. Does somebody know, if the Pentax M is similar to the Tokina with respect to dismantling the front and rear lens elements in order to clean the aperture blades?

Thanks,

Jim
